Four Leaves Villa in Karuizawa
The weekend villa is located in a mountain resort area in Karuizawa, Nagano. The villa contains 3 interconnected volumes with multiple leaf-like curved roof. Series of wooden joists are exposed in each rooms following the organic geometry of the roof. These wooden joists highlights dinamic spatial charactors of each living spaces especially in the main living & dining space where its ceiling height varies from 2.5m to 5.8m. 2 ensuite master bedrooms and a guest bedroom branches out from the main living/dining, maintaining private circulations without interfer each others. Salon is located in the 2nd floor where the owners and their friend can share their private time in a space with professionaly equipped audio and visual systems.
軽井沢の別荘地に計画されたウィークエンドハウスは3つのヴォリュームによって構成されている。落葉が積み重なったような曲面を持った屋根はリビング・ダイニングや寝室の空間を軽やかに包んでいる。それぞれの天井には、屋根の曲面に沿って等間隔に配置された垂木が柔らかく空間を支えている。 メインのリビング・ダイニングは天井高2.5ｍから最高の高さ5.8ｍまで緩やかに伸びていく吹き抜け空間としている。2つある主寝室はダブルオーナーが快適に利用できるようプライベートな動線が交差することがないよう配置され、気積の大きなリビング空間を中心にその周囲に主寝室とゲストルームが平面的にそれぞれ接続されている。階段を上った2階にはサロンと呼ばれる趣味室を設け、友人たちと音楽を楽しみながら集えるプライベートな空間を提案している。
